Miria Pigato is a Practice Manager and the Lead of the Climate Action Group in the World Bank’s Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice. Since joining the World Bank, she has held several management and research positions, including lead economist in the Africa region, country program coordinator for Pakistan, sector manager for the North Africa and Middle East, South Asia and Africa regions, and Practice Manager for Europe, Russia, Central Asia and the Caribbean. Under her leadership, the Climate Action Group is supporting client countries to implement the climate commitments under the 2015 Paris Agreement. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked in private sector consulting and lectured at University College, London. She holds a Master in Economics at the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics at University College, London.
